Magic of Modern Arts Moments #8

Hi Everyone, I want to shine a light on an extraordinary group: The Magic of Modern Art Mensches. Some of you may know them already—they are the heart of the Magic of Modern Art mission: to bring about a world where everyone, everywhere experiences the magic and wonder of modern and contemporary art. What began in 2020 as a handful of art lovers meeting after the Conference for Global Transformation (sponsored by Landmark Worldwide) has grown into a vibrant circle of supporters who meet monthly to share ideas, cheer each other on, and actively shape the future of this work. Their impact was especially clear during my recent trip to Charleston,…

Magic of Modern Art Moments #6

Dear Magic of Modern Art Supporter, This year is flying by! Last week, I attended my first National Art Education Association (NAEA) Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. It was an unforgettable experience. The conference hosted 4,000 attendees and 600 breakout sessions over three packed days. I met only a fraction of those present. The people I did connect with were remarkable—passionate, dedicated, and excited to hear about the Magic of Modern Art.  A major focus was the increased struggle for arts funding and equity in public schools due to the destructive cuts made since #47 took office. Many teachers from red states shared that if they speak out, they risk losing…

Magic of Modern Art Moments #2

Hi! On April 6th, the first ever Magic of Modern Art Exhibition opened at the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in Marietta, Georgia.   This opens up a whole new avenue for fulfilling our mission—a world where everyone everywhere experiences the magic and wonder of modern and contemporary art. It builds credibility and sets a precedent for other museums to follow suit.  Here’s the link and a particularly apt quote from the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art website:   Marietta Cobb Current Exhibition To answer the question of “How does one learn to experience Modern and Contemporary Art?,” this exhibition offers everyone the opportunity to become knowledgeable and passionate about…

Magic of Modern Art Moments #1 – The Newsletter

Let me introduce myself. My name is Robyn Jamison and I’m an artist on a mission. This mission has been the central focus of my life for the past five years and, truth be told, my dream for all of my adult life.   As I reflect on this mission, I find myself wanting to share its unfolding with you. My mission? A world where everyone everywhere experiences the magic and wonder of modern and contemporary art.  Imagine with me what the world would be like if everyone appreciated the art of our time so profoundly that museums and galleries were overflowing, starving artists were a thing of the past, and…
