DESCRIPTION:Robyn Jamison\, is coming to New York to lead a full-day Magic of Modern Art Experience at the Whitney Biennial 2026 on Sunday\, June 7th. People rave about this experience!  \nRobyn is an artist and the author of The Magic of Modern Art—How to Love Modern & Contemporary Art. She facilitates events that transform people’s relationship with modern and contemporary art.  \nShe doesn’t lecture or explain the art. Instead\, Robyn guides people to experience it directly\, so they reawaken their natural affinity for art and see the world through new eyes. Modern and contemporary art become moving\, meaningful\, and surprisingly accessible.  \nHere’s a short video by Hilary Burns\, a popular podcaster\, that will give you a sense of what The Magic of Modern Art Experience provides.  \nHere’s what the day will include: \nWe’ll begin with coffee and a guided conversation (at a café near or inside the Whitney) that surfaces the subtle assumptions and mental chatter that tend to interfere with our appreciation of contemporary art. Once those are identified and dispelled\, people often find themselves relating to the art with more curiosity\, openness\, and confidence. \nFrom there\, we’ll enter the Biennial and spend time with one or two works—slowly and in silence—with gentle guidance from Robyn. There will be opportunities to share reflections after spending time with each piece.  \nThere will be a break for independent exploration\, and we’ll reconvene in the afternoon for further focused engagement.
